These challenge ideas can be performed in any of the simulators.

Assume that each of our challenges takes roughly 30 minutes. 

The Mayday! Engine Failure challenge is all about your skill as a pilot. What happens if the engine fails? Is it game over? Can anything be done? You will learn what may cause such a failure and how to cope with the situation.

Learn how to deal with an aviation issue that, to the passenger feels like the worst thing that can happen. You are a seasoned pilot though and after this, will know exactly what to do.

Mayday Engine Failure will put you in control of a commercial airliner as there are technical issues with your engines!

So … engine one is down. What happens now? What if both engines decide to stop working? The Mayday Engine Failure bolt-on will help you overcome such problems.

There are various reasons why it may happen and in this additional 30 minute challenge you learn what may cause it AND how to deal with it.

You will go through the normal checks, procedures and take off. You can choose the airport you wish to take off from as for this scenario … it doesn’t really matter where you are.

Shortly after you reach cruising altitude there will be a problem. Your pilot instructor will talk you through what to do and how to react.

Don’t worry, it will have been discussed in a briefing beforehand. With your new found knowledge you will know what to do and bring your virtual passengers back to land safe and sound.

Well .. possibly not. But you have enough time to practice and hopefully succeed so you can tell your friends that you completed the Mayday Engine Failure challenge!

Topical and most certainly challenging. Not all pilots could have landed in these conditions. Can you?

My interest in aviation started with the basic Cessna 182RG flight simulation on my pc, and always wondered whether I had learnt enough to be able to fly a commercial jet. The opportunity to find out came when my very generous wife bought my first surprise Full Motion Experience. Naturally, I was a little apprehensive not knowing exactly what to expect but need not have been all thanks to the friendly manner of instructor Captain Mak. As part of the briefing he can assess your abilities, knowledge and relevant experience and tailor the experience to suit perfectly. That first experience was truly instructive, pleasurable and memorable. My reactions must have been obvious as my wife booked a second one which turned out to be equally great !
